Flexible Options from Paddock to Property
Every job is different, from a small front yard refresh to a new school oval, so Associated Turf offers several ways to get turf from our farm to your lawn. Homeowners can have standard rolls delivered to the door or collect them from the farm. Landscapers and builders can order by the pallet, scheduled to suit their site. Large open spaces can be turfed with machine-laid Maxi rolls, and anyone who would rather not lay it themselves can have our team do it. You choose the option that suits your budget, timeline and how hands-on you want to be.
Whichever option you choose, the turf is exactly the same quality. It is grown on the rich Hawkesbury River soils at Windsor, harvested to order rather than stockpiled, and backed by more than 45 years of experience growing natural turf for Sydney conditions. Our team will help you work out which option makes the most sense for your job.
- Standard rolls delivered or collected
- Pallet orders for trade and projects
- Machine-laid Maxi rolls for large areas
- Laying by our team on request
Getting the Quantity Right
Ordering the right amount saves money and stress on laying day. Too little and you are left with bare patches while you wait for a second delivery, too much and you are paying for rolls you cannot use. Measure the length and width of each lawn area in metres and multiply them to get square metres. Measure each section separately if your lawn wraps around the house, leave out garden beds and paths, and add the areas together for your total.
For curved or irregular shapes, break the area into simple rectangles or send us a sketch with measurements and our team will help you work it out. Once you know your total, we will recommend a variety to suit your sun and shade and confirm whether delivery or farm pick-up works best for you. If you are booking delivery, let us know about steep driveways, narrow gates or other access issues so the drop goes smoothly.
- Measure each area in metres and multiply
- Leave out garden beds, paths and paving
- Send us a sketch for odd shapes
Volume Supply Scheduled Around Your Program
Builders, landscapers, developers, schools and councils order from Associated Turf when they need consistent turf in large quantities for display homes, estates, school grounds, parks and sporting fields. We plan harvests around your program, deliver on pallets to suit your site and can tell you what is ready to cut before you lock in dates, so you are not left guessing. Our team understands trade timelines and the cost of a crew waiting on materials.
For parks, ovals, golf courses and acreage with good access, our Maxi Turf rolls measure 1.2 metres wide by 12 metres long and are laid by our dedicated machine. They leave far fewer joins than standard rolls and establish faster with less water. Talk to us about regular orders and project pricing, and let us know early if a large or staged job is coming up.
- Harvests planned around your program
- Pallet deliveries for large orders
- Maxi Turf rolls and machine laying
Understanding the Cost of Your Turf Supply
The price of turf depends mainly on three things: the variety, the quantity and how it gets to you. Premium soft-leaf buffalo varieties such as Matilda and Sir Walter cost more than Kikuyu, which is a cost-effective option for large sunny areas. Larger orders and regular trade orders can be priced accordingly. Choosing the right variety for your conditions matters more than choosing the cheapest, so ask our team for advice before you order. Buffalo varieties need less mowing and fertilising than Kikuyu and couch, which also affects ongoing costs.
Delivery depends on your location and access, while collecting from our farm on Cornwallis Road, Windsor is an option if you have a suitable vehicle or trailer. If you would like our team to lay the turf, that is quoted separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Request a quote and we will give you clear, obligation-free pricing that sets out each item, so you can compare options side by side.
- Variety and quantity drive the turf price
- Delivery or farm pick-up options
- Laying quoted separately and clearly

Questions About Ordering Turf
Answers to the questions we hear most. Our team is always happy to help with anything else.
Our turf specialists are happy to help.
Is there a minimum order?
We supply orders of all sizes, from small backyard patches to large projects. Delivery costs depend on your location and order size, so for very small orders, collecting from our farm at Windsor can be a cost-effective option. Call us and we will talk you through the best choice for your situation.
Do I need to prepare the soil before my turf arrives?
Yes. Remove existing grass, weeds and debris, improve the soil with organic matter or quality topsoil, and rake the area level with a gentle slope away from buildings. A starter fertiliser or soil improver applied before laying and watered in lightly helps settle the soil and activate nutrients. Once the turf is down, give it a deep soak straight away.
Can I order turf for collection on a Saturday?
Yes. Our farm is open Saturday from 7am to 12pm as well as Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm. Call ahead so we can have your order cut fresh and ready, and make sure your vehicle or trailer can carry the load safely. For the freshest result, lay it the same day you collect it. Have your soil prepared before you arrive so you can start straight away.
How far ahead should I place my order?
For most orders, a few days' notice is enough, and at quieter times we can sometimes supply sooner. During spring and the lead-up to Christmas, our busiest times, booking a few weeks ahead is a good idea if you need a particular day. Large project orders should be discussed as early as possible so we can plan harvests and lock in delivery days for each stage.
Can you supply turf for a staged project?
Yes. For multi-stage projects we can harvest and deliver as each stage is ready rather than all at once. This keeps the turf fresh, avoids pallets sitting on site in the sun and makes it easier for your crew to work through each area in turn. Tell us the stages and approximate dates when you request a quote, and call us early if your program changes.
What is the difference between standard rolls and Maxi rolls?
Standard rolls suit homes, gardens and areas with beds, paths and corners, and can be laid by hand by you, your landscaper or our team. Maxi rolls are 1.2 metres by 12 metres and laid by our machine on large open areas such as parks and ovals. Ask our team which option suits your turf supply needs.
